So I wake up this morning, still very dark outside so my mind tells me that it's early yet. But normally, it isn't that dark out at 7:30am, and then I hear the thunder. Weather like this always makes me think about things, randomly.. I'm not sure my thought process knows the meaning of 'order' when the weather seems ominous. These days I have some old thoughts tumbling through my head again, about a person very close to me. He's someone that I have somewhat of a history with.. he's a big part of my life, bigger than I want him to know. I always compare our relationship to the rain, sometimes it's soft and light.. others it's heavy and intense.. sometimes it overwhelms me and at times, calms and comforts me. I wonder if I were to run through the rain, I'd have quenched a thirst that I've held onto for some time now, but I know that I'm holding onto it for my own reasons.. or maybe I just don't know how to let him go.
